Mosob Eritrean restaurant engaged creativeonestop to help stem their growth. Since then C1S has expanded and refocused this popular restaurant’s brand into a new 70 sit that has continued to exceed expectations. An ongoing marketing and branding relationship has driven the restaurant from strength to strength.

A recent marketing initiative resulted in a 100% return on investment.

Challenge

Refreshing the brand and reengineering the menu to help with the next stage of their growth.  Also develop solution to increase restaurant bookings at a short notice on nights when advance bookings are low.

Solution

First we improved the logo and also created a new tag line ‘the soul of Eritrean cuisine’ an authentic value offering that the restaurant draws its influence from.  We also re-launched MOSOB members club with an expanded database, a temporary menu update followed by more a permanent menu reengineered and enticing new customers with a spotlight on the MOSOB’s great food photography.

To solve the problem of short term low table bookings, C1S developed a ‘ flash sale email newsletter’ template that is easily updated at minimal cost

The first flash sale newsletter offered a 15% discount on food for 24 hours to members.

Success

  • High interactivity: 40% of recipients opened the email
  • High response rate: 56 bookings made directly through the website and 50 vouchers collected in the restaurant. This resulted in a 100% return on investment
  • Strong viral marketing: 335 emails forwarded to friends
  • Newsletter template available for future ‘flash sales’ at a lower cost than initial setup, and therefore resulting in a higher ROI going forwards
